Nicole Butler // Hairpainter
Nicole “Cole” Butler has been behind the chair in Phoenix, Arizona since 2010. She founded Cole B. Hair in 2014 and has been based at Gather Lofts in Gilbert, AZ since 2023. With over 16 years of experience, Nicole is recognized as one of the Southwest’s leading hair color and cutting experts, known for her refined artistry and thoughtful approach to education.
A licensed Arizona cosmetologist and hair educator, Nicole teaches advanced, private hair coloring classes and trains aspiring stylists from the very beginning of their careers through licensure. She has an extensive background working with top international haircare brands and has trained extensively in European hair color and cutting techniques, shaping her technical precision and creative eye.
For nearly a decade, Nicole has educated nationally for leading professional brands including Bumble and bumble, Davines, Sally Rogerson, and John Vial, traveling frequently and hosting pop-up education in salons across the country. Her career also includes behind-the-scenes work on celebrity music videos and live events, with credits including Rita Ora, The Killers, and the Phoenix Suns dancers.
